Unlike many other scheduling software, Amie presents itself as a fun and joyful calendar app that boosts productivity.

Note that we said “calendar app” and not a scheduling tool. However, it does offer a scheduling feature to streamline your meetings.

We analyzed Amie throughout to determine if it delivers what it promises.

Will it get you more meetings and help you to be more productive?

There’s only one way to find out. Let’s get to it.

Amie.so: Overview

Rating - Product Hunt 4.5/5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Amie.so is a web-based productivity app designed to organize your personal and professional tasks into one smooth schedule.

You can also book meetings with Amie. It’s easy to share your calendar with someone to schedule a meeting or duplicate it if you want to have another one next week.

It allows you to create a scheduling page, manage your tasks and events, let others know about your availability, set buffer times, and more.

But that’s where the scheduling capabilities end.

Amie offers both free and paid plans. It stands out as a fun and joyful app in the market and features an undoubtedly cool design.

Best For

  • Students and Gen-Z: Use a joyful calendar app to keep track of their class schedules, assignments, and other tasks.
  • Families: Amie’s user interface makes it a great choice for coordinating family events, appointments, and gatherings.
  • Freelancers: Freelances can benefit from Amie’s task management feature to stay organized and on top of their projects. However, it’s doubtful that Amie.so scheduling capabilities can help them land more meetings and get more clients.

Standout Feature

Amie offers a combination of a task list and a calendar. It employs a time boxing approach to managing your daily routine.

Each task is scheduled in a fixed time slot in your calendar.

So, instead of working on a task until it's completed, you work within a set time frame ("the timebox").

In that sense, Amie isn't a scheduling tool but rather a productivity app that focus on time slots, tasks and calendar management.

Amie: Key Features

  • Interface: A well-designed interface resembles an activity feed that creates a sense of transparency. It works as a social profile that shows people your availability, events, deadlines, and other things that are on your schedule.
  • To-do list: Wite down your to-do list inside the app, drag it down, and drop it to make it an event in the calendar.
  • Availability: Availability batch in a user’s profile lets you know if a person is available at that time slot.
  • Scheduling links: Send your scheduling link and let your guests pick the time for a meeting when you’re available.
  • Take notes inside the app
  • Stay in sync with your team: Track what your team members are doing and when
  • NLP Scheduling (Pro plan only): Schedule your todos using natural language.
  • Widgets: Help you to organize your schedule in a fun and more interactive way.
  • Timezones.

Things To Consider Before Using Amie

While Amie has multiple features focused on improving your time management, it lacks scheduling flexibility and advanced booking features.

The ability to send guests a scheduling link is basic and insufficient for salespeople, bigger teams, and busy professionals.

Another aspect to consider before using Amie as your go-to calendar app and scheduling tool is whether it’s too personal for corporate use.

Although the company expects most of Amie’s revenue to come from corporate use, corporate users are not feeling it yet.

The fact that Amie is so accessible to everyone can lead to micromanagement issues in the work environment.

There are things people want to keep for themselves, but with the Amie app, every step is transparent.

While Amie does a good job of helping people be more productive, merging personal and professional in one calendar app can backfire.

Especially if it’s used in businesses, startups, and bigger teams.

Amie Pricing

Amie offers three pricing plans:

  • Free plan -> includes up to 3 integrations and basic todo/calendar management
  • Pro plan $12/user/month -> includes unlimited access to all features including AI scheduling and unlimited integrations
  • Enterprise plan -> price AOD, includes all features plus priority email support.

✅ Amie Pros

  • Cool design
  • Pleasant interface
  • Add widgets
  • Time-blocking approach to scheduling
  • Split view: events up top and tasks on the bottom, and you can swipe up or down

❌ Amie Cons

  • Not a stand-alone scheduling tool
  • Users often report bugs
  • The app is still young and needs more refinement
  • Limited to Google Calendar
  • No booking customization
  • Limited scheduling flexibility
  • Limited integrations
  • Premium plan is pricey for a calendar

What Do Amie Users Think?

The Verdict

Amie is a nice calendar app for users who want a good-looking app that brings tasks and events into one base.

But as a scheduling tool, it does very little.

For the premium price of 12€/month, you can get much more powerful scheduling tools that deliver better value.

Moreover, if you like to keep your schedule private, Amie is not for you.

It blurs the personal and professional line by promising to boost your productivity.

But because of it, Amie becomes susceptible to micromanagement and privacy issues and when used in a corporate setting.
