Learn how to connect your calendar to lemcal
By the end of this tutorial, you’ll know how to connect a calendar provider from the new Calendar providers settings page and choose it as your default meeting location in Preferences.
Your calendar provider controls how lemcal checks availability and creates events, while your meeting location decides how those meetings happen. Setting both up correctly helps you avoid scheduling issues and gives invitees the right meeting experience from the start.
You should already have access to your lemcal workspace and the Google or Microsoft account you want to connect as a calendar provider.
Start from your lemcal workspace and open your account menu from the bottom-left corner. Then click Settings to access your account configuration pages. This is where you now manage calendar connections.

Go to Calendar providers, click Add a new calendar, and then choose the provider you want to connect: Google Calendar or Microsoft Office. This step connects the calendar that lemcal will use to generate your availability and schedule events.

If you connect Google Calendar, review the requested permissions and click Allow. These permissions let lemcal read and manage calendar availability so meetings can be booked correctly.

Once connected, your provider will appear in the Calendar providers list. This confirms the connection was completed successfully and that the provider is ready to use in lemcal.

Next, go to Preferences and select the meeting location you want to use by default, such as Google Meet. This setting controls the default location type used when meetings are scheduled.

A common setup is to connect Google Calendar as your calendar provider and then choose Google Meet as your default meeting location. With this setup, lemcal can check your calendar availability and automatically use Google Meet for booked meetings.
